From the Athletics Director’s Desk -January 2026

This month our men's and women's basketball teams are in the midst of the SoCon schedule, with both posting a winning record in league play. The men had a big road win at Furman, while the women have won three straight heading into this weekend's road games. The spring sports have either already begun competition or will be starting in the next couple of weeks, as February is our busiest month of the year!
I also want to commend our student-athletes on an outstanding fall semester in the classroom. The department as a whole posted a 3.30 GPA, above the 3.23 average of all students on campus. The women's golf team led the way with a 3.67 GPA, followed by women's tennis at 3.66. The hard work that our student-athletes put forth in the classroom is something we are extremely proud of.

Wofford Athletics extends a sincere thank you to everyone who supported the Terrier Club and Excellence Funds. Fans will notice the protective netting has been extended at King Field to provide a safer viewing environment from behind both dugouts. WELCOME NEW ASSISTANT COACHES
This January, we have welcomed two new assistant coaches to Spartanburg– Corley Reynolds with baseball and Kam Snell with football. Reynolds joins the baseball staff after previously serving as the assistant head coach and recruiting coordinator at Young Harris. In the 2025 season, Reynolds and the Mountain Lions finished with a 40-17 record, reaching the NCAA Southeast Regional. Kam Snell will work with the cornerbacks on the football team. During the 2025 season, he was a defensive analyst and assistant cornerbacks coach at the University at Buffalo.

Terrier Club and Excellence Funds Giving

CAPITAL PROJECTS: INVESTING IN OUR FACILITIES
The Terrier Club is actively fundraising for two major renovation projects that will enhance the student-athlete experience across multiple programs:
  • Russell C. King Field at Switzer Stadium
A complete renovation of the playing surface and a new outfield wall will modernize the facility and improve performance and safety.
  • Richardson Activities Building
Upgrades will include new locker rooms for football, men's and women's soccer, and men's and women's cross country and track, along with renovated office and recruiting spaces.
VOLLEYBALL: ALUMNI GIVING BACK TO THE PROGRAM
Wofford Volleyball has also launched a campaign to fund a new Taraflex competition court. This high-performance surface will improve player safety, reduce injury risk, and elevate the overall student-athlete experience. For volleyball alumni, this is a meaningful opportunity to give back to the program that helped shape your Wofford journey while ensuring future Terriers train and compete on a first-class court.
