Five Terriers Receive Big South Postseason Honors

SPARTANBURG, S.C. – Five members of the Wofford College women's lacrosse team were recognized with Big South postseason honors as announced by the league office on Thursday afternoon. Brooke Meltcher was named defensive player of the year and first team all-conference, while Olivia Graebner was named to the all-conference first team and the all-academic team. Vivian Chiomento received second-team all-conference recognition, while Barrett Rowe was named as an honorable mention. In addition, Sara Fenwick earned a spot on the all-freshman team.

Meltcher, a junior from Wading River, New York, has earned the first-ever outright player of the year award for Wofford. She has led the country in ground balls per game for the majority of the season, reaching seven or more ground balls on six different occasions, including a program-high nine against Butler (3/20/26). She has set new single-season records in caused turnovers (42) and ground balls (91). With three defensive player of the week awards, Meltcher holds the most defensive honors in the Big South this season.

Graebner, a redshirt sophomore from Yardley, Pennsylvania, started all 18 games for the Terriers, scoring 31 goals and grabbing 19 assists. She becomes the fifth Terrier to record 50 or more points in a season. The midfielder was named to the preseason all-conference team after being named to the all-conference second team in her freshman season.

Chiomento, a senior from Kennett Square, Pennsylvania, earns her first career honor from the Big South after breaking every specialist record in Wofford's history. She holds the record for most draw controls in a career (308), single season (161), and single game (18, Presbyterian, 4/18/26). She broke her own single-game record three different times this season.

Rowe, a senior from Richmond, Virginia, started all 18 games and was a pivotal piece in a Wofford defense that allowed the second fewest goals per game in program history (13.3). She finishes her career at Wofford, recording the fifth most ground balls (46) and seventh most caused turnovers (30) in a season by a Terrier. She sits one away from 100 career caused turnovers as the program's career leader. The defense was named the Big South Preseason Defensive Player of the Year and earned one defensive player of the week award this season.

Fenwick, a freshman from Reisterstown, Maryland, started 17 of her 18 games in her first campaign. She scored 10 goals and provided two assists, which ranked ninth on the team. She also had the third most accurate shot on the team, with 81.5 percent of her shots being on target. She was awarded with two freshman of the week honors, only the third Terrier to receive more than one, alongside Olivia Graebner and Carly Irvin.

The Terriers set a school record for most Big South wins with six, while tying the school record for overall wins at nine. Wofford qualified for the Big South Tournament for the second year in a row, earning their highest seeding as the No. 3 seed. The team also set school records in single-season assists (111) and draw controls (281). They have amassed the second most points (337), goals (226), shots (507), ground balls (380), and caused turnovers (188) in a single season, as well.

The All-Conference team is voted on by the head coaches and features two teams of three attackers, three midfielders, three defenders, one goalkeeper, and three at-large selections, plus five honorable mention honorees regardless of position. The All-Academic Team consists of one student-athlete from each institution that meets the criteria and is nominated and selected by the league's sports information directors.

Wofford is set to face the No. 2-seeded High Point Panthers in the Big South Tournament semifinals on Friday, May 1, at 7 p.m. All action is available for streaming on ESPN+.
