SPARTANBURG, S.C. – The Southern Conference has released its academic honor roll for the 2025-26 academic year, with 2,699 student-athletes from the 10 member institutions and nine associate members earning the distinction. Wofford had a school-record 328 student-athletes recognized, topping the previous record of 314 set last year.  
 
The academic honor roll originated in 1988-89, when SoCon athletic directors established the award as a way to recognize the league's outstanding student-athletes. The academic honor roll consists of student-athletes who participated in varsity sports and posted a 3.0 grade point average or higher, were eligible the entire academic year and were members of the final squad lists.
 
Of this year's qualifiers, 862 earned the Commissioner's Medal, awarded to student-athletes who attain a GPA of 3.8 or higher throughout the year, and 281 posted perfect 4.0 GPAs.
 
Wofford had 22 student-athletes record a 4.0 during the academic year – Emerson Batson (women's soccer), Will Berger (men's track/cross country), Quinn Bernthal (women's tennis), Bella Blasi (women's lacrosse), Julian Brager-Carlsen (men's tennis), Chloe Elliott (women's tennis), Olivia Graebner (women's lacrosse), Mary Liese Grier (women's soccer), Julia Grier (women's soccer), John Jaraczewski (football), Bella Kent (women's golf), Brandon Maina (football), Will Maisenbacher (football), Fabian Menendez (men's soccer), Aiden Morris (football), Kyle Parsons (football), Zach Porter (baseball), Elli Porter (women's basketball), Maximus Pulley (football), Brady Snow (baseball), Grace Stout (women's tennis), Mason Weaver (baseball).  
 
Mercer sat atop the league with 373 members on this year's honor roll, followed by Wofford (328), Furman (281), and The Citadel (267).
