GREENVILLE, S.C. – At the 2026 Southern Conference Football Media Day on Tuesday at the Hotel Hartness, Wofford had six players recognized by the league's coaches on the preseason all-conference first and second teams.
In addition, the conference's ten head coaches picked Wofford to finish seventh in the preseason poll with 36 total points. Coaches were not allowed to vote for their own student-athletes or team as part of the balloting.
One player earned a spot on the first team, senior defensive back
Eli Campbell. Campbell played in all 12 games last season with 11 starts, and he was fourth on the team with 67 tackles. He was second in the SoCon in interceptions with four and was named All-SoCon second team.
Five players earned spots on the second team. Sophomore offensive lineman
Reggie Houston started ten games last season. Junior defensive lineman
Ramon McCollough Jr. played in all 12 games with two starts and had 20 total tackles. Junior running back
Gerald Modest Jr. played in 11 games with two starts and was second on the team with 115 carries for 567 yards and five touchdowns. Senior kicker
Sam Spence played in all 12 games and led the team in scoring with 55 points on 5-of-11 field goals and 28-of-28 PATs. Sophomore linebacker
Wyatt Ward played in 11 games with four starts at linebacker and had 55 total tackles to earn a spot on the SoCon All-Freshman Team.
