SPARTANBURG, S.C. – The Southern Conference announced its weekly volleyball awards today, and Wofford's
Chloe Smith was tabbed as the offensive player of the week. That is her first SoCon Offensive Player of the Week award of the season and the second of her career. The selections are made by the league office.

Smith, a junior outside hitter from Louisville, Kentucky, totaled 29 kills across two matches this past weekend – good for first in the conference. In a 3-0 sweep against Winthrop, Smith posted 13 kills on a .478 hitting percentage to go along with a career-high three aces. She added seven digs and two blocks as well. In a 3-1 win against Davidson on Sunday, Smith led the team with 16 kills, two aces, nine digs, and a block. Smith posted eight kills in the first set alone against the Wildcats.

Smith leads the team with 29 kills and 35.5 total points so far this season. She led the conference with 5.07 points per set, ranking her 27
th in the nation. Smith was second in the conference over the weekend with .71 aces/set.

Wofford will welcome Presbyterian College to Jerry Richardson Indoor Stadium on Tuesday, September 1, at 6:00 p.m. for the home opener. The Terriers will follow that up with a trip to Raleigh, North Carolina, this weekend for a tournament at NC State.
