Victoria Willis

Assistant coach Victoria Willis is entering her fourth season with the Terriers in 2015-16.
 
Willis serves as the team's recruiting coordinator and works closely with the guards on the team. Her other responsibilities include assisting with player development, organizing team travel arrangements, coordinating the team’s camps, ensuring academic compliance and breaking down film.
 
Prior to Wofford, Willis coached the Many High School women’s basketball team for two seasons. She led her team to a 15-8 record in her first season and a second round playoff berth for the first time in three years.
 
Willis has previous experience coaching at the college level before Wofford, serving as a graduate assistant at Northwestern State University for two seasons. Her primary duties included assisting with player development, the team’s camps, academic compliance, recruiting and film breakdown. She helped the team to a 33-29 record in her two seasons with the Lady Demons.
 
Prior to coaching, Willis played at the University of North Carolina-Pembroke. A four-year letterwinner and team captain, she started at point guard and led the team in assists her sophomore, junior and senior years. Willis was a two-sport athlete in college, also lettering in tennis for two years and serving as team captain her senior season.
 
Willis graduated from UNC-Pembroke in December 2007 with a bachelor of science degree in sports and exercise science. She would then earn her masters of arts degree in sports administration from Northwestern State University in May 2010.
 
A native of Charlotte, N.C., Willis now resides in Simpsonville, S.C.
