Wofford College announced on June 5, 2019, the hiring of Kim Eldridge as head coach of the women’s lacrosse program. With over twenty years of coaching experience and twelve years at the Division I level, Eldridge joins the Terriers after three seasons as head coach at Westminster College.
During the 2022 season, the team set a school record with five wins and had a 3-6 mark in the Big South to tie for sixth place. Her first season with the Terriers in 2020 was cut short after just six non-conference games. In the 2021 campaign, the team was 2-9 overall and the season ended in the first round of the Southern Conference Tournament.
In 2019, Eldridge led the Titans to the inaugural Presidents Athletic Conference (PAC) Championship title in only the third year of the program's existence, setting a program record for wins in a season with 15. After going undefeated in its PAC regular season schedule, Westminster won the PAC Championship with a 15-5 victory over Washington and Jefferson College. The Titans went on to the NCAA tournament and won their first ever NCAA tournament game over Notre Dame of Maryland University by a score of 16-8. Under the guidance of Eldridge, the Titans boasted the Titans boasted an IWLCA All-Region player, a program-record seven All-PAC honorees and swept the PAC major awards. She was named PAC Coach of the Year and ECAC Coach of the Year.
In 2018, in just the second season as a sport at Westminster, the Titans finished tied for fifth in the ORLC, finishing 5-6 in conference play. Eldridge has coached twelve All-Conference honorees during her time at Westminster.
Eldridge was previously the head girls' lacrosse coach at Chartiers Valley High School where she led the team to a 14-4 record and advanced to the Western Pennsylvania Interscholastic Athletic League (WPIAL) finals and the Pennsylvania Interscholastic Athletic Association (PIAA) state quarterfinals.
Prior to Chartiers, Eldridge was hired as Duquesne University's first-ever head coach and held that position from 1997 through 2005. Eldridge, who had three Coach of the Year citations (1997 Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC); 2000 & 2004 Atlantic 10 Conference), guided the Dukes to the Atlantic 10 Tournament six of seven years. During Eldridge's tenure, Duquesne shared the 2004 and 2005 Atlantic 10 regular season championship titles and saw her team advance to the 2001, 2004, and 2005 A-10 championship games.
Eldridge also has collegiate coaching experience at Robert Morris University, Randolph Macon College and a nationally-ranked James Madison University team. She also led Peters Township High School to two WPIAL championships.
Eldridge, a1993 graduate of the College of William and Mary, was an All-South first team honoree and an All-Colonial Athletic Association pick as a senior. Eldridge also played in the North-South Senior All-Star game and was an All-South second team selection in 1992. Additionally, she played field hockey at William and Mary.
A native of Downingtown, Pa., she earned a bachelor's degree in marketing from the College of William and Mary and a master's degree in athletic administration from James Madison.
Eldridge has three sons, Ray, who plays football at the University of Richmond, Gavin who attends Wofford and Chad who plays soccer at Mercer University.
