FOOTBALL: Season tickets on-sale now!
Season ticket packages for the 2010 Wofford football season are now on-sale.

The 2010 Wofford Football Fan Guide and Season Ticket Information booklet was released today at woffordterriers.com. The booklet will be mailed to all Wofford football season ticket buyers the week of June 1.

The Terriers will welcome five opponents to Gibbs Stadium this fall - mark your calendars now!

Sept. 18 vs. Union (Ky.)  - 10th annual Black & Gold Bowl - Youth Football Night
Oct. 2    vs. Furman        - Church Youth Group Day
Oct. 16  vs. W. Carolina  - Family Weekend
Oct. 30  vs. The Citadel   - Homecoming
Nov. 20  vs. Chattanooga - Senior Day, UCA Cheer Clinic
(All promotions subject to change. Game times will be announced later this summer.)

Season ticket prices remain unchanged from last year at $100 per seat. This continues to be one of college football's best values.  Season ticket holders will have priority to purchase their seats from last year through July 30 at which point all remaining seats are available to the general public.

ON THE FARM: An update on Terriers playing minor league baseball
Stats through May 25
Brandon Waring (Bowie Baysox, AA Eastern League, Baltimore Orioles)
162 at bats, .216 average, 6 HR, 21 RBI, 9 doubles (was 3-for-4 with 2 doubles May 19)

Michael Gilmartin (Kane County Cougars, A Midwest League, Oakland Athletics)
144 at bats, .222 average, 1 HR, 16 RBI, 9 doubles (was 2-for-4 with 2 doubles May 18)



HAPPY TRAILS:  Sports Marketing coming's and going's
Happy trails to Amanda Bell as her 10-month appointment as the marketing and promotions assistant ended this week.  Bell did a great job coordinating - among many other things - the Boss' Buddies Kids Club, Go Pink campaign and Terrier Tales Reading Program. Not to mention the ability to keep the chaos that comes with this office organized.  Beginning in August, Marcus Mercer (Capital (OH) '07) will move into the marketing and promotions assistant role.  Most recently, Mercer served in the Sports Marketing office at Vanderbilt.

As the 2009-10 athletic calendar has now expired, time to look ahead to the beginning of the next year.  From today (May 26) to the Terrier Fan Fest on August 26 it's 92 days.  It's 93 days until the women's soccer home opener and first official home sporting event of the new year as the host Presbyterian.  The men's soccer and volleyball home openers are both slated for September 17.  Cross Country's season will begin September 4.  Enjoy your summer!
