DENVER, Colorado – The Wofford College men’s basketball team arrived in Denver on Tuesday night and will face BYU on Thursday, March 17, at approximately 7:15 p.m. ET in a NCAA Tournament game that will be televised nationally on CBS.
Following a thirty-minute period of interviews with media on Wednesday, the Terriers practiced for the NCAA-allowed 40 minutes. The team took part in a second closed practice later in the day at another location.
“We are once again thrilled to be here in this beautiful city and represent our great college and our great league, the Southern Conference, against a very formidable opponent in the Cougars of Brigham Young,” said head coach Mike Young.
“I said to a couple people yesterday, the more I watch, the more respect I have for them,” Young added. “I've gotten to the point now after four or five more games, I'm not going to watch anymore, we're just going to come and play at 7:00 tomorrow and see what happens. There's a reason they won 30 games in the regular season. There's a reason they're ranked No. 8 in the country. It's because they are quite good. But we'll bring an old in a good way an old, very smart, tough team over here tomorrow. I know our guys are beyond excited and will play quite well. “
