COLUMBIA, Mo. – Wofford begins its 111th year of men's basketball on Friday when it opens the 2015-16 season at Missouri. The game is set for 8 p.m., Central Time, 9 p.m., Eastern, and is part of the CBE Hall of Fame Classic.

It will be the first meeting between the two teams since November 25, 1995, Wofford's first game as a Division I program. The Terriers trailed then-No. 15 Mizzou by nine points at halftime and fell by a final of 86-60.

Mike Young, entering his 14th season as head coach and 27th on Wofford's bench overall, was an assistant on the '95-96 team. He enters this season with 217 career victories, eighth-most in Southern Conference history.

Wofford is coming off its best season in program history, going 28-7, 16-2 SoCon, in 2014-15. The Terriers captured the Southern Conference regular season title for the third time, earned their fourth SoCon Tournament championship and made their fourth trip to the NCAA Tournament.

Spencer Collins is Wofford's top returning scorer. The Easley, S.C., native averaged 11.8 points a year ago and enters his senior season with 1,223 career points. He was named to the Preseason All-Southern Conference Team.

Missouri went 9-23, 3-15 SEC last season, Kim Anderson's first as head coach. The Tigers head into this season still a young team, boasting 10 underclassmen on their 15-man roster. Junior Wes Clark is their top returning scorer. Clark averaged 10.1 points as a sophomore.
