LEXINGTON, VA. – The Wofford men's soccer team defeated VMI, 1-0 , on Tuesday afternoon in Lexington, Va.

Â

Â
While Wofford jumped out to an early lead, they were unable to capitalize on numerous scoring chances despite holding a 10-5 shot advantage.
Â
The Keydets fought hard in the second half, and even had a good chance to tie the game late, but Grant Austin's shot in the 78
th minute deflected off the post and out of harm's way to keep the Terriers in the lead, 1-0.
