SPARTANBURG, S.C. – Following the 2017 season, several Wofford College football players received All-America honors.
Ross Demmel was named third team FCS All-America by the Associated Press, Demmel and
Andre Stoddard earned spots on Phil Steele's FCS All-America Team, while Stoddard and
Miles Brown were honored by STATS.

Demmel, a senior from Cincinnati, Ohio, started all 13 games at left tackle. He was second on the team with 100 knockdown blocks as the offensive line led the Terriers rushing game to 244.8 yards per game, which is eighth in the nation. He was named first team All-Southern Conference in addition to the third team AP All-America and fourth team Phil Steele All-America.

Stoddard, a junior from Greenville, S.C., led the Terriers with 825 rushing yards on 176 carries in 13 games at fullback. His 15 rushing touchdowns were the most in the Southern Conference. He led the team with 90 points, which is tied for first in the league rankings. He was named first team All-Southern Conference by the media and second team All-SoCon by the coaches. Stoddard was second team All-American by STATS and third team All-American by Phil Steele.

Brown, a junior from Cheverly, Maryland, started all 13 games on the defensive line. He led the team with 10.0 tackles for loss and 3.0 sacks. The rushing defense is ranked first in the league. This season was his third receiving All-Southern Conference honors. He was a third team All-American by STATS.

This is the second straight season multiple Terriers have been named All-American, as three players were honored last season. Wofford ended the season 10-3 overall and lost in the NCAA FCS Quarterfinals. It marked the first time in school history the team reached the double-digit win mark in back-to-back seasons.
