"We got out of today exactly what we wanted," said head coach
Shawn Watson. "When you get to this juncture, you want to get to the next juncture, which is having everybody healthy. Overall, we came out healthy, and we just wanted to put the ball down today and play. We wanted somewhere between 45 and 50 reps, and we were right at it. We had the SoCon officiating crew here so we could get the operation of what it feels like to play in tempo, both offensively and defensively, with the proper mechanics. On the whole, we got all of our stuff in for our base schemes. We've still got a lot of work to do with them, but I'm really happy with the progress. I feel like we have some really good individuals that stepped up on both offense and defense."
Overall, Wofford used 14 of the 15 spring practice dates allowed by the NCAA. During the team periods on Saturday, Southern Conference officials called four penalties.
The Terriers will continue working with the strength and conditioning staff for the remainder of the spring semester.
