The construction of Jerry Richardson Indoor Stadium reached a milestone this week with the completion of the playing surface in the main arena.

The first event in the building will be a volleyball game on Wednesday, September 20 against Furman. The men's basketball team will host South Carolina on Friday, November 10, while the women's basketball team will play their first home game on Thursday, November 16.

Wofford alumnus and trustee Jerry Richardson '59 provided the gift to fund the 120,000-square-foot facility that includes a 3,300-seat basketball arena and a 350-seat volleyball competition venue. Construction on the facility began in January of 2016.
