Box Score Charleston, S.C. – The Wofford women's soccer team won 1-0 in double overtime at Charleston Southern on Friday afternoon. The Terriers and Buccaneers played to a scoreless draw in the first 90 minutes but
Hayley Younginer scored the game winning goal in the 104
th minute of the second overtime period. Wofford has now won three games in a row for the first time since the Terriers started 3-0 in the 2014 season.

The Terriers and Buccaneers played a fast paced first half but thanks to solid goalkeeping both teams were held scoreless. Wofford's
Alex King had a key save in the 21
st minute of the first half to keep Charleston Southern off the board. Four minutes later the Terriers had an opportunity of their own when
Hayley Younginer had a shot on goal, only to be saved by the Buccaneer keeper.

The second half began with more scoring opportunities for both teams. In the 57
th minute
Alex King came up with another big save to keep the game scoreless. The Terriers and Buccaneers battled for the remainder of the second half with the Terriers creating two great scoring opportunities with less than five minutes to play in regulation but neither team could find the back of the net.

The overtime period began with a shot from Wofford's
Katie Beuerlein that was saved by the Buccaneer keeper. Wofford's
Alex King made another save in the 98
th minute of the first overtime period to send the game into double overtime. Just four minutes into the second overtime period
Hayley Younginer took a pass from
Catie Slater and beat the goalkeeper to the upper right corner of the net to clinch the win for Wofford.

In the game Wofford tallied 12 shots and 8 shots on goal.
Hayley Younginer's goal makes it ten on the season for the redshirt-sophomore and
Catie Slater's assist is her first of the season. In
Alex King's first start of the season she recorded a clean a sheet, facing 22 shots and saving 8.
