SPARTANBURG, S.C. – The No. 8 seeded Wofford women's soccer team prepares to host No. 9 seed The Citadel in the first round of the Southern Conference Tournament on Wednesday night at 7 p.m. at Snyder Field. The Citadel looks to seek revenge on the Terriers, as both teams share a 2-7 record in conference play.
 
THE MATCHUP: In their last meeting on October 14^th at Snyder Field, the Terriers came out victorious over the Bulldogs, 3-2, on Senior Day. Wednesday's match will be the 20^th meeting between the two teams, as Wofford leads the all-time series record 15-3-1. Additionally, the Terriers are 9-1-1 all-time when hosting the Bulldogs at Snyder Field.
 
DID YOU KNOW: The last time Wofford hosted a first round match in the SoCon Tournament was October 28, 2015, beating The Citadel 3-0 at Snyder Field.
 
FIRST ROUND HISTORY: Wofford is 5-8 overall all-time when playing in the first round of the SoCon Tournament. The Terriers are 4-3 all-time when hosting a first round match at Snyder Field.
 
LAST TIME OUT: The Terriers fell to Furman, 2-0, on Sunday in their final regular season match, while The Citadel defeated ETSU, 2-1. Wofford finished the regular season with an overall record of 5-12-1 (2-7 SoCon), while the Bulldogs finished with a 8-9 (2-7 SoCon) overall record.
 
WHAT'S NEXT: No. 1 seed Samford will host either Wofford or The Citadel on Saturday, Oct. 27 at 5:30 p.m. CT.
