SPARTANBURG, S.C. – The Wofford women's lacrosse program has added 11 players for the class of 2018, as announced by head coach
Ceri Miller on Monday.
Wofford will welcome in three attackers, four midfielders three defenders and one goalkeeper in the second year of the program. The 12 newcomers represent eight different states.
"I am really excited about this incoming class of student-athletes," said Miller. "They bring a tradition of winning, hard work, and excellence both on the field and in the classroom. Each player will bring something different to the culture of our team and I look forward to watching them add to the foundation we have set for Wofford women's lacrosse."
Molly Bradach
Molly Bradach is a defender from Roswell, Ga. She attends the Wesleyan School where she helped the Wolves to an elite eight appearance this past season. Bradach was awarded First Team All-County and First Team All-State honors for her efforts and was also named a Girls High School All-American. She also received the "Dooley Award," given to a male and female from each school in Georgia who shows great leadership and citizenship through their team. At her team banquet, Bradach was given the "Alpha Wolf Award" for being a good team leader.
The Wolves advanced to the Final Four in 2017 and had Elite Eight appearances in 2015 and 2016 as well. In addition to her 2018 nod, Bradach also made All-County on defense in her first three seasons and added other All-State team appearances in 2017 (First Team), 2016 (Second Team) and 2015 (honorable mention). She competed in the DiVarsity All-Star game in 2015, 2016 and 2017. She holds the school record for ground balls in a game (8), ground balls in a season (65) and ground balls in a career.
Sara Williams
Sara Williams is a goalkeeper from Sammamish, Wash. She played four seasons at Eastside Catholic. Eastside Catholic won state in 2016 and 2017, her sophomore and junior seasons, and lost in the semifinals her freshman season. This past season ECHS fell in the quarterfinals and finished with a 10-4 record.
She was the MVP of the 2017 State Championship and was named to the All-State team. Williams was an All-Conference selection in 2016 and 2017 and was a U19 Washington Regional goalkeeper in 2016. She broke the program record for saves in a game (14) at Eastside Catholic and also owns the record for save average in a four year career (49.7%).
Shannon Wulff
Shannon Wulff is an attacker from Chapel Hill, N.C. At Chapel Hill High School, the two-time captain was named an All-Conference selection in all four seasons and was the Big Eight Conference Player of the Year in 2018. She was selected to the Charlotte News & Observer All-Metro team three times and was chosen as the Offensive MVP of Chapel Hill HS High in 2016 and 2017. In 2018 she played in the Bull City All-Star game, where she again took home MVP honors. In 2016 she competed in the NC Powerade State Games.
In 2016, Wulff set the record for points in a season at her high school (98) and then bested it a year later by becoming the first player to eclipse the 100 point mark (105). She holds the program record for career goals (200), career assists (149), and career points (349).
Morgan Salvato
Morgan Salvato is an attack from Ashburn, Va. A four year player for Stone Bridge High School, Salvato won a national championship her freshman season. In 2015 and 2016, Salvato was named Second Team All-District and earned First Team All-District honor in 2017. A captain her senior season, she eclipsed 120 goals in her high school career.
Ally Furnari
Ally Furnari is a midfielder from Lutherville, Md. She attended Maryvale Prepatory School and started for four seasons. As a captain her senior season, Furnari helped Maryvale to a 9-8 record in one of the toughest conferences in the country (IAMA) and plays lacrosse powerhouses like McDonough, Notre Dame Prep, Roland Park Country, Glenelg Country and Archbishop Spalding. Â In 2018 she tallied 16 goals, 3 assists, 35 draw controls.Â
Abbi Pagano
Abbi Pagano is a midfielder from Cary, N.C. Pagano lettered and started four seasons at Panther Creek High School and was a three time captain. In 2018, Pagano and Panther Creek won the conference and made it to the third round of the playoffs.
She was a First Team All-Conference pick her sophomore and senior seasons and a Second Team selection her junior year. Â Pagano was the recipient of the All-Catamount Award her senior year and was also the winner of the Tom Suiter Extra Effort Award, given to a student-athlete in North Carolina who excel on and off the field. She finished her high school career with 136 ground balls, 103 goals, 33 assists and won 97 draw controls in 56 games.
Elisabeth Ralph
Elisabeth Ralph is a midfielder from Hillsdale, N.J. She attended Pascack Valley High School where she played four seasons. She helped Pascack Valley to a share of the league title as the Indians fell in the sectional semifinals her senior year. Ralph was a three time captain and was named First Team All-League, Second Team All Bergen County and Second Team All North Jersey in 2017, while repeating as a First Team All-League selection in 2018. She was chosen as one of the Top 50 senior athletes to watch in North Jersey and was a Finalist for the North Jersey Player of the Year in 2018. Ralph competed in the New Jersey Senior All-Star game her senior year. Â
Ralph holds the school record for goals in a game (9) and finished her career with 132 goals, 46 assists, 177 points, 121 ground balls, 66 caused turnovers and won 223 draw controls.
Emily Beckman
Emily Beckman is an attack from Apex, N.C. At Apex High School, Beckman helped the Cougars to four conference championships. She made the 2016 All-Conference Second Team and the First Team in both 2017 and 2018. She competed in the 2016 Powerade State Games and was selected to the All-Metro team in 2017 and 2018.
She led the conference in assists in 2017 and 2018 and was ranked No. 13 nationally in assists. She broke Apex High's record for points in a game (10) and finished with 75 goals and 145 assists in her career.
Grace Geraghty
Grace Geraghty is a midfielder from Lake Bluff, Ill. She attended Lake Forest High School where she had a successful high school career. Geraghty was named First Team All-Conference in 2015 and 2017 and was All-State Honorable Mention in the same seasons. Her 2015 All-State honorable mention nod made her the first freshman to receive All-State honors in school history.
She led the state in draw controls per game in 2015 and was second in 2017, while she was second in the state in assists and first in caused turnovers in 2017 as well. Geraghty made the US Lacrosse Illinois/Wisconsin tournament team in 2015. She finished her high school career with 248 draw controls, 81 goals, 49 assists, 107 ground balls, and 69 caused turnovers.
Erin McGovern
Erin McGovern is a defender from Doylestown, Pa. She was a four year letter-winner at Central Bucks East High School, the 10
th ranked team in the state. In her senior season, the Patriots went 10-2 and won the league before falling in the first round of districts. McGovern was named All-League Honorable Mention for her performance on the year. Central Bucks East finished second in the league in her junior season. She scored 16 goals and tallied 31 assists, a team high, in 2018. She also ended her career with over 100 assists.
Emma Seif
Emma Self is a defender from New Bern, N.C. At New Bern High School, Seif was named First Team All-Conference in her freshman and sophomore seasons. She competed in the Powerade State Games as a sophomore before battling injuries the remainder of her high school career.Â
