Wofford Announces Football Broadcasting Information

SPARTANBURG, S.C. – The Wofford College athletic department announced on Friday that four home games will be televised on WYCW Channel 62, along with the contest at Furman. Additionally, the Terriers have announced that Jim Noble and Thom Henson are the "Voices of the Terriers" and Van Hipp joins them from the sidelines for football games.
 
Known as "CW62" and located in Spartanburg, S.C., WYCW serves the Upstate of South Carolina, western North Carolina, and northeastern Georgia, which comprises the nation's 35th largest television market.
 
In addition to the five total games being carried on CW62, ten Wofford games will be streamed on either ESPN3 or ESPN+ channel. Fans can subscribe to ESPN+ for just $4.99 a month (or $49.99 per year) and can cancel at any time. It is available as an integrated part of the ESPN App, the leading sports app and the premier all-in-one digital sports platform for fans, and is also be available through ESPN.com.

Jim Noble will begin his first season as the play-by-play announcer of Wofford football and basketball. Noble joins the Wofford team after more than 20 years of sportscasting on a local, regional and national level. Most recently, Noble has been a host on SiriusXM satellite radio, hosting on various channels including ESPN-U College Sports Radio, Rio Olympics Radio and the NASCAR radio channel. He also hosted the "College Football Blitz" for IMG College radio affiliates last season.
           
Prior to that, Noble was a TV reporter for NBC, TNT and ESPN's NASCAR coverage, where he served also as a regular correspondent on "SportsCenter".  He was a regional correspondent for Fox Sports Net's "Southern Sports Report", covering the ACC and SEC, as well as the NFL's Carolina Panthers and NBA's Charlotte Hornets.  Noble got his start in television at local stations in Macon GA, Savannah GA, and Rochester NY before arriving in Charlotte, where he worked for CBS affiliate WBTV.
           
Henson, the color analyst, is in his 19th football season as a member of the Wofford Sports Network.  He is also the color commentator for Terrier basketball games for the 20th year. A 1996 graduate of Wofford, Henson is Director of Parent Engagement at his alma mater.  He is also a former student assistant in the Wofford sports information office as well as working one summer in media relations with the Carolina Panthers.
           
Van Hipp is in his seventh season as the sideline reporter. Hipp is Chairman of American Defense International, Inc. (ADI), a Washington, DC based consulting firm specializing in government affairs, business development and public relations. Hipp received his bachelor's degree in Economics from Wofford College, and is a past President of the National Alumni Association. He received his Juris Doctor from the University of South Carolina School of Law.
