COLUMBIA, S.C. – The Wofford men's tennis team competed in Columbia over the weekend at the Gamecock Fall Invitational, hosted by South Carolina. Wofford was one of 16 teams competing in the tournament while Georgia State, Georgia Southern, East Carolina, Miami, Campbell, UNC, Georgia, Presbyterian, Davidson, Florida, Winthrop, SMU, Tennessee, and host South Carolina made up the rest of the teams. The Terriers that competed over the weekend include
Omar Williams,
Julian Chousa,
Javi Casasolas, and
Diego Losada.

Omar Williams represented Wofford in the singles B-flight, picking up impressive wins over South Carolina, ETSU, and UNC to finish with a 4-1 record on the weekend.

The rest of the Terriers,
Julian Chousa,
Javi Casasolas, and
Diego Losada, were all placed in the singles C-flight. Losada went 4-1 on the weekend with wins against Georgia Southern, East Carolina, and Winthrop, while Chousa finished with a 2-2 record also earning a pair of wins against Winthrop.

Overall, Wofford won 10 of their 14 singles matches in the tournament.

The Terriers are back in action on October 5-7 where they will compete in the Spartanburg Country Club Tournament and Belton Tournament next weekend.
