CARY, N.C. - The Wofford men's tennis team competed in the 2019 Intercollegiate Tennis Association Carolina Region Championships held at Cary Tennis Park this weekend.
Javi Casasolas won his opening round match, while
Julian Chousa and
Omar Williams won their opening doubles match.
"The Carolina Regionals is arguably one of the best events in the country" said head coach
Rod Ray. "We had hoped to play some top-level fighters, so it was great that we got that opportunity. It is no surprise that Julian and Omar took down a great team, because I believe they can beat anyone in the country on a given day. We've got some work to do in our next two tournaments that are coming up soon."
