SPARTANBURG, S.C. – The Wofford College football program announced the signings of two student-athletes to National Letters of Intent on Wednesday. The two, along with the 19 during the early signing period in December, give the Terriers 21 newcomers to the program.

The newest signees are John Harrington, Jr. and Micheal Mason. Harrington is a defensive back from Seven Lakes High School in Katy, Texas, while Mason is a defensive lineman from Florence, South Carolina.

Overall Terriers will welcome ten players on offense and eleven players on defense. The student-athletes are from nine different states, including seven from South Carolina and three each from Georgia and Alabama.

On offense, the ten players include three offensive linemen, two running backs, four wide receivers, and one tight end. On defense, the eleven players include two linebackers, four linemen and five defensive backs.

Offensive linemen Jysaiah Cromer (Spartanburg, S.C.), Tayvian Gass (Sumter, S.C.), Jeremy Michaux (St. Augustine, Fla.) signed for the offense. Wide receivers Calvin Jackson III (Chattanooga, Tenn.), R.J. Khayo (Cincinnati, Ohio), KeiAndre Sanders (Birmingham, Ala.) and Malik Stanback (Rockingham, N.C.) are joined by tight end
Josh Lifson (Anchorage, Ky.). Running backs Jacquez Allen (Prattville, Ala.) and Irvin Mulligan (Beaufort, S.C.) round out the class.

On defense, the newcomers include defensive linemen Jacob Drag (Chapin, S.C.), Micheal Mason (Florence, S.C.), Eric Mizell (Alabaster, Ala.) and Javonte Turrentine (Conway, S.C.). The Terriers will begin spring practice on February 7 in preparation for the season opener against South Carolina State.

2019 Newcomers
Jacquez Allen (5-9, 181, Prattville, Alabama) played running back his senior year at Prattville High School for coach Caleb Ross. He had 52 carries for 321 yards as the team posted a 7-4 record. During his junior season he played at Hoover High School he ran for 588 yards and ten touchdowns on 64 carries. The team was 10-3 overall and won the state championship. As a sophomore he had 32 carries for 219 yards.
Tahir Annoor (5-11, 180, Nashville, Tennessee) played defensive back for four seasons at Brentwood Academy, winning a state championship each season. As a senior for coach Cody White he had 70 tackles and two interceptions on defense and added 600 receiving yards and six touchdowns on offense. He earned All-State, All-Region and Tennessee All-Star honors following the season. As a junior, he was named All-Region with 30 tackles and two interceptions on defense and eleven touchdowns on offense. He also was a four-time state champion as a sprinter on the track team.
Logan Barnes (6-1, 195, Dawsonville, Georgia) played safety at Dawson County High School for coach Sid Maxwell. As a senior, he had 115 tackles and three interceptions as the team was 10-2 overall. He was named first team All-Region and selected for the Blue-Grey All-American Bowl and the Georgia Elite Classic All-Star game. During his junior year he had 122 tackles and three forced fumbles, earning first team All-Region and All-State honors. He holds the school record for career tackles with 304.
Keyvaun Cobb (5-11, 178, Black Mountain, N.C.) played defensive back and wide receiver at Christ School in Asheville. As a senior for coach Tommy Langford, the team was 10-2 and was runner-up for the state championship. He had 46 tackles, eleven interceptions and three defensive touchdowns, along with 769 rushing yards, 733 receiving yards and 15 offensive touchdowns on the season. He earned All-State and All-Conference honors three times. During his junior season, he recorded 31 tackles and three interceptions. He holds school records in the 400 meters, 4x100, 4x200 and 4x400 meter relays for the track team, which won the 2018 state championship.
Jysaiah Cromer (6-4, 270, Spartanburg, S.C.) was a four-year letterman at Broome High School. As a senior for coach Lynn Fleming, he had 20 knockdown blocks and graded out at 88%. He was named All-State, All-Conference and played in the Shrine Bowl. During his junior year he had 31 knockdowns and graded out at 93%. He was also a four-year letterman in track and lettered once in basketball.
Jacob Drag (6-4, 326, Chapin, S.C.) was a defensive lineman at Chapin High School for coach Justin Gentry. He was limited his senior year due to injury. As a junior the team was 7-4 overall and he earned All-Region honors. During his sophomore season Chapin posted an 11-2 record. His father, Mark Drag, played football at Clemson from 1984-89.
Tayvian Gass (6-5, 310, Sumter, S.C.) played on the offensive line for coach Mark Barnes at Sumter High School. He was named All-Area, All-Region and All-State twice, along with playing in the 2018 Shrine Bowl. As a senior at right tackle he set a school record with 59 knockdown blocks and graded out at 80%, while the team was 10-1 overall. During his junior season he had 42 knockdowns. He also competed in the shot put and discus on the track team, earning All-Region honors.
John Harrington, Jr. (6-1, 175, Katy, Texas) is a three-year letterman at Seven Lakes High School. As a senior for coach Jimmy Hamon he played wide receiver, quarterback and cornerback. He scored three rushing touchdowns, three receiving touchdowns and threw three touchdown passes as he earned Academic All-District honors. He was limited his junior season due to injury. He also lettered twice in track. Â
Jay Hazel (5-11, 184, Beaufort, S.C.) played defensive back at Whale Branch Early College High School for coach Jerry Hatcher. As a senior, he had 40 tackles, two forced fumbles and two interceptions to earn All-Region and region defensive back of the year honors. He played in the North-South All-Star game. During his junior year had 38 tackles and five interceptions, along with three blocked field goals. He also was a state qualifier in track and wrestling.
Calvin Jackson III (5-11, 195, Chattanooga, Tennessee) was a running back, quarterback and wide receiver in his four seasons at Red Bank High School. As a senior for coach Chris Brown, he had 1,616 total yards and scored 28 touchdowns. During his junior season had 77 catches for 1,070 yards and 12 touchdowns, along with 126 carries for 869 yards and 20 touchdowns. The team was 11-3 overall and reached the 3A state semifinals, while he was a semifinalist for Mr. Football. He was named All-State and earned region MVP honors three times. He also earned All-State honors in track.
RJ Khayo (5-9, 160, Cincinnati, Ohio) is the all-time reception leader at Archbishop Moeller with 125 catches and holds school records for longest kickoff return, most kickoff returns and most kickoff return yards. During his senior season for coach Doug Rosfeld, he had 41 catches for 549 yards and three touchdowns as the team won the GCL championship. He was named first team All-GCL and first team All-Southwest Ohio three times each, along with twice being named GCL offensive player of the year. Also played basketball, posting a 28-1 record during his sophomore season. He anchored the 4x100 relay team that finished third in the state his junior season.
Josh Lifson (6-3, 228, Anchorage, Kentucky) will join the Terriers this January after spending the fall semester at Air Force Prep. In his career at Kentucky Country Day he recorded 100 catches for 1,519 yards and 18 touchdowns. As a senior he had 28 catches for 433 yards and six touchdowns, earning third team All-State and first team All-Metro Louisville honors. He was named Kentucky Country Day Athlete of the Year as a senior. He also earned first team All-District in baseball, lettering four seasons as a pitcher and outfielder.
Micheal Mason (6-3, 230, Effingham, S.C.) lettered for three seasons at South Florence High School. He recorded 100 or more tackles in each of his three seasons and was named All-Region three times. As a senior he had 119 tackles and 14 sacks as he was named to the North-South Team. During his junior season, he had 122 tackles with eleven sacks. He also played basketball for four seasons.
Jeremy Michaux (6-6, 280, St. Augustine, Florida) was a three-year letterman at St. Augustine High School for coach Brian Braddock. As a senior, he was selected to the NFFCA Senior Bowl. During his junior season the team was 12-1 overall and were defeated in the state semifinals. He also lettered twice in lacrosse and once as a thrower on the track team.
Eric Mizell (6-2, 265, Alabaster, Alabama) played defensive line at Thompson High School for coach Mark Freeman. As a senior, he had 77 tackles and 4.5 sacks, along with 18 quarterback hurries to earn All-County honors. The team was 12-2 overall and finished as the state runner-up. During his junior season he had 42 tackles and 3.5 sacks as the team was 11-1 overall and reached the state semifinals. He also played one season of baseball.
Irvin Mulligan (5-10, 207, Beaufort, S.C.) ran for nearly 5,000 career rushing yards in four seasons at running back for coach Jerry Hatcher at Whale Branch Early College High School. He was named All-State and All-Region three times each. During his senior season he ran for 1,306 yards and 23 touchdowns. As a junior he rushed for 1,406 yards and 25 touchdowns, while adding 1,678 yards and 28 touchdowns during his sophomore season. He had 500 rushing yards and seven touchdowns as a freshman. On defense he had eight career interceptions. He also played baseball and ran track at Whale Branch.
Miles Richardson (5-10, 180, Atlanta, Georgia) was a three-year starter at cornerback and wide receiver at Chapel Hill High School for coach Justin DeShon. As a senior he had three interceptions and 13 pass break-ups, along with 12 catches for 376 yards and five touchdowns. During his junior season he had five interceptions and 20 pass break-ups. He holds the school record for career interceptions and was twice named first team All-Region and All-County. He also played basketball and was a sprinter on the track team.
KeiAndre Sanders (5-8, 155, Birmingham, Alabama) played wide receiver for three seasons at Shades Valley High School for coach David Partridge. During his senior season had 66 catches for three touchdowns and over 700 yards. He was named All-State his junior year with 74 catches and ten touchdowns, going over 1000 receiving yards.
Jack Scroggs (6-0, 230, Buford, Georgia) started the last two seasons at linebacker for coach John Ford at Buford High School. During his senior year he recorded 85 tackles and six sacks, earning a spot in the Georgia Elite Classic All-Star game. As a junior he had 65 tackles and four sacks. The team was 48-9 overall in his four seasons, finishing as state runner-up twice. He also played lacrosse and was on the state championship fishing team.

Malik Stanback (6-1, 175, Rockingham, N.C.) started as a sophomore and junior at Richmond Senior High School. He missed his senior season due to a knee injury. As a junior for coach Bryan Till he led the team with 34 catches for 751 yards and five touchdowns, earning All-Conference honors. During his sophomore season he had eight catches for 119 yards and a pair of touchdowns. He also played basketball and ran sprints for the track team.

Javonte Turrentine (6-1, 290, Conway, S.C.) played on the defensive line for three seasons at Loris High School for coach Jamie Snider. As a senior he recorded 71 tackles and two sacks to earn All-Region honors. During his junior season, he had 55 tackles and one sack as he was named All-Region. He had 35 tackles as a sophomore.
