KeiAndre Sanders, while Sanders added a touchdown on a scramble by
Trey Baker.
Omari Johnson and
Jackson Zehr came up with interceptions.
Isaiah Wadsworth added a touchdown pass from
Jimmy Weirick in the second red zone period. In the final team period,
Cagan Campbell had an interception and
KeiAndre Sanders scored on a pass from
Jacob Kimbrell.
Wofford, the back-to-back-to-back Southern Conference Champions, return a total of eleven starters from 2019. There are two starters back on offense, along with seven on defense and two specialists. Last season the Terriers were 8-4 overall and 7-1 in the league. They advanced to the NCAA FCS Playoffs for the fourth straight season.
"I think the guys are excited about the chance to work towards something as the spring season is becoming a reality to them," said head coach
Josh Conklin. "The mind preparation for that is where they are at moving forward. We have been spending a lot of time on the strength and conditioning program with two days a week on the field, with enough football to keep them sharp. We will focus the next fifteen practices on installing our systems and advancing our special teams along with the offense and defense. I know the guys are excited about it as another step working towards something."
The Terriers will return to the field on Thursday and Saturday to complete the first week of action. Practices are currently closed to the public, as the Wofford campus is not open to visitors at this time.
