SPARTANBURG, S.C. – Wofford head baseball coach
Todd Interdonato announced today the addition of 15 student-athletes who signed National Letters of Intent or letters of commitment to join the Terriers baseball squad in the fall of 2022.
Â
The class includes seven position players, six pitchers and a pair of two-way players. The future Terriers hail from eight different states. Georgia is the most-represented with five signees, while four hail from Wofford's home of the Palmetto State. The player making the longest trek to Russell C. King Field is Hatcher Hild, whose hometown of Boise, Idaho is approximately 2,272.3 miles away from Spartanburg.
Â
"When it finally comes to signing day and all our recruited student-athletes put pen to paper, we can't help but think about the amount of time, miles traveled, games watched, on-campus visits, Zooms and number of phone conversations to get us to this point," said Interdonato. "Our staff, led by
J.J. Edwards, is constantly communicating with these guys and their families about Wofford College and the vision we have for our program. Coming off our first SoCon Championship season, our brand continues to grow in the high school and travel baseball community. Wofford is becoming a unique place where our players can get a top 100 national education and consistently compete for championships at the same time. As we say inside our program, we can do both."
