SPARTANBURG, S.C. – Five student-athletes from the Wofford baseball team were named to the 2026 Academic All-District® Baseball Team, selected by College Sports Communicators, which recognizes the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom.
Those honored include
Cade Collins,
Hunter Herndon,
Lucas Manning,
Ben Timblin, and
Logan Tribble. With five selections this season, the Terriers have had multiple honorees in four consecutive years.
Collins, a sophomore from Fort Collins, Colorado, started all 56 games, primarily at third base. He recorded 59 hits with 58 runs scored and 28 RBIs. He posted a .295 batting average. A sociology and anthropology major, he has been named to the Southern Conference Academic Honor Roll.
Herndon, a senior from Chickamauga, Georgia, started 50 games at first base. He had a .285 batting average with 45 hits and 38 RBIs. An international affairs major, he has been named to the Southern Conference Academic Honor Roll.
Manning, a senior from Winston-Salem, North Carolina, played in 43 games with 38 starts, primarily at catcher. He had a .321 batting average with 42 hits and 29 RBIs. He majored in studio art and was named to the Southern Conference Academic Honor Roll.
Timblin, a sophomore from Signal Mountain, Tennessee, led the team with 16 home runs and 64 RBIs as he was named All-Southern Conference second team. He started 52 games in the outfield and had a .315 batting average, along with a team-high 15 stolen bases. A business economics major, he has been named to the Southern Conference Academic Honor Roll.
Tribble, a senior from Bradenton, Florida, played in all 56 games with 55 starts in the outfield. He led the team with a .372 batting average and was second on the team with 74 hits. He majored in accounting and finance and has been named to the Southern Conference Academic Honor Roll.
Academic All-District nominees must have at least a 3.30 grade point average. All honorees advance to the CSC Academic All-America Team ballot, where first-, second- and third-team All-America honorees will be selected at the end of June.
