SPARTANBURG, S.C. – Many Wofford College baseball players are spending this summer in wooden bat leagues across the country. Most leagues have an eight-week schedule that began at the end of May and concludes with playoffs in early August. Additionally, four former Terriers are competing professionally.

Professionally, Colin Davis is with the Tacoma Rainiers, the AAA affiliate of the Seattle Mariners. This is his fifth full season in the minor leagues. Ryan Galanie is with the AAA Charlotte Knights in the Chicago White Sox organization after beginning the season with the AA Birmingham Barons. Marshall Toole is with the A Bowling Green Hot Rods, who will be playing against the Hub City Spartanburgers from July 7-12 at Fifth Third Park. Toole began the season with the Charleston River Dogs before being promoted to Bowling Green in the Tampa Bay Rays organization.
Carter Rasmussen is playing for the FCL Red Sox, the rookie affiliate of the Boston Red Sox, where he has a 1-1 record with 16 strikeouts in 9.2 innings.
