SPARTANBURG, S.C. – The Southern Conference announced on Wednesday the Academic All-Conference teams for the 2025 fall season and 2026 spring season. Wofford had 43 student-athletes named to the Fall All-Academic Team and 75 student-athletes named to the Spring All-Academic Team for a total of 118 honors.
All 10 SoCon institutions were represented on the team, which honored 394 student-athletes in the fall sports of men's and women's cross country, football, men's and women's soccer, and volleyball. A total of 629 student-athletes from the winter and spring sports of men's and women's basketball, men's and women's indoor track and field, rifle, wrestling, men's and women's golf, men's and women's outdoor track and field, men's and women's tennis, baseball, and softball.
To be eligible for the academic all-conference team, student-athletes must carry at least a 3.3 cumulative grade point average at the conclusion of the fall or spring semester and were required to compete in at least one-half of their teams' competitions. In addition, the student-athletes must have successfully completed at least three semesters at their institutions, making true freshmen and first-year transfers ineligible for inclusion.
Seventy-two SoCon student-athletes have maintained perfect 4.0 cumulative GPAs, including Wofford's
John Jaraczewski (football),
Mary Liese Grier (women's soccer),
Quinn Bernthal (women's tennis), and
Grace Stout (women's tennis).
Among Wofford teams, women's soccer had 14 honorees to lead the Terriers. Football, baseball, and women's indoor track and field added ten each.
Western Carolina led the way with 121 combined Academic All-SoCon selections. Wofford was a close second with 118 student-athletes on the team, and Samford followed in third with 116 honorees.

th year that the Southern Conference has named an Academic All-Conference Team by season.
