SPARTANBURG, S.C. – Head women's lacrosse coach Kim Orie Eldridge announced Wofford's 2022 women's lacrosse schedule on Wednesday afternoon, highlighted by nine home games at Gibbs Stadium, as the Terriers prepare for their inaugural season competing in the Big South conference as an associate member.
 
Entering the program's fifth season of existence at Wofford, the Terriers' nonconference slate consists of seven games – four of which to be hosted in Spartanburg, S.C., at Gibbs Stadium.
 
Wofford will open the 2022 slate with its season and home opener on Friday, Feb. 18, hosting Akron at Gibbs Stadium prior to traveling to Duke for its first road contest of the season on Thursday, Feb. 24. The Terriers then return to Spartanburg for a three-game home stand in hosting Kent State on Sunday, Feb. 27, Kennesaw State on Saturday, Mar. 5 and UMass-Lowell on Wednesday, March 9.
 
Wofford will then conclude the nonconference slate with a pair of road tilts at Richmond on Sunday, March 20, and Delaware State on Saturday, March 26.
 
The Terriers' conference schedule features five home games at Gibbs Stadium, though, Wofford will open Big South play at Furman, who also joined the Big South as an associate member this past July, on Wednesday, March 30. Wofford then hosts High Point (Apr. 2) and Presbyterian (Apr. 6) before traveling for a pair of road games at Gardner-Webb (Apr. 9) and at former-SoCon affiliate Mercer (Apr. 13).
 
Wofford will then host three of its final four regular-season games in Spartanburg, hosting Campbell on Saturday, April 16, ahead of its final road contest at Longwood in Farmville, Va. on Wednesday, April 20. The Terriers will then wrap up the regular season with home bouts against Winthrop on Saturday, April 23, and Radford on Wednesday, April 27, prior to the Big South Championships.
 
The Big South Women's Lacrosse Championships are slated to begin with the quarterfinals on Saturday, April 30, hosted by the higher seeds, while the semifinals and finals are to be hosted in High Point, N.C., at High Point University, starting Friday, May 6-8.
