PINEHURST, N.C. – The Wofford men's golf team (+29) finished seven strokes better than Friday's first-round performance on Saturday afternoon, seeing sophomore
Matthew Larkin (+3) and junior
Matthew Copeland (+3) both remaining in the field's top five after the second round of action at the Pinehurst Intercollegiate.

The two Terriers finished tied for fourth, as Copeland added two birdies on the day to finish 1-over (73), while Larkin tallied three birdies on holes No. 3, No. 11 and No. 12 to finish with a 2-over-par 74 in Saturday's second round.

Despite competing individually, freshman
Harry Jones (+7) finished with an 18-hole career-low of 72 to hang within the top 25, tied for 23
rd. Jones was 1-over on the front nine, prior to seeing three birdies on No. 2, No. 3 and No. 8 to finish the back nine even for the 72.

The Terriers finished with a second-round total of 295, moving one spot ahead on the team leaderboard in sixth place, as George Washington (+31) dropped five spots into seventh and Butler (+32) dropped two spots into eighth. Dayton (+21) hopped three spots into first at the conclusion of Saturday's round, followed by Longwood (+24) and Elon (+26) – jumping six spots into third.

Walker Jones (+14) both finished with 4-over-par 75s, as Hill remains within the top 35, tied for 31
st, as Jones is tied for 52
nd after the second round.

Matt Teaster (+12) and freshman
Jay Beach (+19) both finished with 80s on the day, seeing Teaster tied for 42
nd as an individual, as Beach sits tied for 65
th.

Wofford concludes the Pinehurst Intercollegiate with the tournament's third and final round on Sunday morning, Mar. 14, as the Terriers are slated to begin first tee at 8 a.m.
