NORTHBOROUGH, Mass. – The Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) has named 285 schools across Division I, II, III and NAIA as IWLCA Academic Honor Squads, as the Wofford College women's lacrosse team was honored for the 2020-21 academic year.

Wofford,
recently named an associate member in the Big South conference for women's lacrosse in 2022, was one of seven schools in the Big South to be named an academic honor squad. To qualify for the prestigious honor, the women's lacrosse team must have posted a 3.2 or higher team GPA for the academic year.

Additionally,
Abbi Pagano was one of 814 student-athletes to be honored on the 2021 IWLCA Division I Academic Honor Roll, as student-athletes must be a junior, senior, or graduate student and have earned a cumulative academic GPA of 3.50 or greater to be eligible for the honor.

Pagano, a midfielder from Cary, North Carolina, made three starts in five appearances during the 2021 season, totaling four ground balls and three caused turnovers, including scooping a career-best three ground balls at Presbyterian on Feb. 25.

The honors for women's lacrosse come after
seeing six Terriers be named to the Southern Conference All-Academic Team (
Moira Carroll,
Brenna Duley,
Emma Gentile,
Leah Hurley,
Maeve Moran and
Shannon Wulff),
while 21 Terriers received SoCon Academic Honor Roll accolades for the 2020-21 academic year.
