Box Score ATLANTA, Ga. – The Wofford College men's tennis team was defeated 5-2 by Georgia State University on Sunday afternoon in an indoor match at Peachtree Corners Tennis Complex. The Terriers won the doubles point, but the Panthers took five of the six singles matches for the victory.
In doubles,
Will Fullett and
Ashe Ray won 6-3 at the #2 position and the Panthers tied things up by winning at #1 doubles. The freshman pairing of
Robert Young and
Mark Endler at #3 earned a 6-4 win to secure the doubles point.
During the singles matches after a #1 position win by the Panthers,
Will Fullett won 6-4, 6-4 at the #5 spot.
Mark Endler at the #2 position and
Callum Rendle at #3 singles both went to three sets but were unable to prevail.
Wofford (0-3) will make the short trip to Gardner-Webb on Wednesday, January 26, for a 2:30 p.m. match.
