SPARTANBURG, S.C. – Wofford College student-athlete Kerrington Johnson has been named to the 2021-22 Academic All-District® Women's Track & Field/Cross Country Team, selected by CoSIDA, which recognizes the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom.
 
Johnson, a junior from Anderson, S.C., won the 100-meter hurdles at the 2022 Southern Conference Outdoor Championship for the second straight season. She qualified for the NCAA East Regionals 27^th in the 100-meter hurdles with a time of 13.40. At the 2022 Southern Conference Indoor Championships, she won the 60-meter hurdles for the second straight season. Overall, she has earned nine All-Southern Conference honors in her career. She holds school records in the outdoor 100-meter hurdles, outdoor 400-meter hurdles, and indoor 60-meter hurdles.
 
A finance major with a 3.89 grade point average, Johnson has been named to the Southern Conference Academic Honor Roll and the SoCon All-Academic Team. She was also a junior marshall at Wofford's 2022 Commencement ceremony.
 
Johnson is the 13^th Terrier to be named Academic All-District and the first woman since the 2015 season (Alissa Williams). Johnson and Emma Russum (Chattanooga) were the only two women honored this season from the Southern Conference.
 
The CoSIDA Academic All-District team is selected by members of the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA). Wofford is in the fourth district, which includes schools in Alabama, South Carolina, Georgia and Florida. Nominees must have at least a 3.30 grade point average. First-team Academic All-District honorees advance to the CoSIDA Academic All-America Team ballot, where first-, second- and third-team All-America honorees will be selected in mid-June.
