SPARTANBURG, S.C. – The Wofford College football team will begin spring practice on Tuesday, March 21. Overall, the Terriers will have fifteen scheduled practices in March and April.
The team will practice for two weeks, then take a week off for Wofford's spring break. They will return for the final three weeks of practices. It will be the first spring practice under head coach
Shawn Watson.
The team is expected to return fourteen starters – five on offense, seven on defense and two specialists. Among those returns are running back
Kyle Parsons, who led the team in rushing, and linebacker
David Powers, who led the team in tackles. Wofford will also be looking to fill several key positions during spring practice, including quarterback following the graduation of
Jimmy Weirick who started all eleven games last season and set numerous Wofford passing records.

Jahaad Scales, offensive lineman
Cameron Jackson, quarterback
Sam Cornett and linebacker
Rafal Szymanski as transfers who will take part in spring practice. Quarterback
Pauly Seeley and offensive lineman
Santana Haynes-Goodman are freshmen that enrolled for spring semester as well.
All weekday practices will be held at approximately 5:45 p.m., with Saturday practices at typically at 10:00 a.m. on the lower practice fields. On Saturday, April 29, the team will have a spring game at 11:30 a.m. as part of the football alumni weekend. All times and dates are tentative and can change due to weather. Practices are open to the public.
