Clinton S.C.- After taking an early 1-0 lead, the Wofford women's lacrosse team was unable to hold the advantage as Presbyterian College scored the next six goals on the way to a 12-8 final at Bailey Memorial Stadium on Wednesday night.
Emma Krasinski scored just 59 seconds into the game to give Wofford a 1-0 lead in their first Big South contest of the season. The Blue Hose responded with goals from Ava Ward, NaQuia Hall and Kylie Sullivan to take a 3-1 lead through one quarter.
In the second quarter Presbyterian scored the first three goals to take a 6-1 lead and they had a 6-2 advantage at the break. In the second half, the Blue Hose scored the first two goals and while the Terriers were unable to get any closer than a three-goal difference in the remainder of the game.
Wofford (3-6, 0-1) had two goals from
Leah Hurley, and one goal each from Krasinski,
Addison Witkowski,
Brenna Duley,
Olivia Abe,
Carley Irvin and
Carlie Cutinella.
Hall led Presbyterian (4-5, 1-0) with four goals and one assist.

Aislinn Washburn played the first thirty minutes and recorded the loss in the game, while
Ella Smithers played the second half. Lilly Phillips got the win in goal for Presbyterian.
