TEMPE, Ariz. – The Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) has announced its 2023 All-Academic Teams and Scholar-Athletes. The Wofford men's tennis team and four individuals were honored this year.
All-Academic teams boast a team GPA of 3.20 or higher. ITA scholar-athletes must meet the following criteria: 1.) be a varsity letter winner, 2.) have a grade point average of at least 3.50 (on a 4.00 scale) for the current academic year, and 3.) have been enrolled at their present school for at least 2 semesters (including freshman through senior year).
The men's tennis team was recognized as an All-Academic Team for the sixth time in the last seven years. Four student-athletes were named Scholar-Athlete award recipients, including
Will Fullett,
Alex Horn,
Callum Rendle and Robert Young.
All members of the 2023 ITA All-Academic Teams and ITA Scholar-Athletes will receive a certificate to recognize the achievement. In 2023, 959 Division I Men student-athletes were named an ITA Scholar-Athlete and 162 men's tennis programs were awarded the All-Academic Team distinction.
