CARY, N.C. – The Wofford men's tennis team took part in the ITA Carolina Regional Championship hosted by Duke University at the Cary Tennis Park. Over 120 competitors from NCAA Division I schools in North and South Carolina were in action during the tournament.
 
Singles play began on Thursday and doubles action opened on Friday afternoon. Ian Rasheed won his opening round match in the qualifying draw, while Rasheed and Daniel Clivio won their opening round in the doubles main draw.
 
"This was a strong three days of development for us," said head coach Rod Ray, who served as the Region Chair for the event. "It was exactly what we needed to help us get to where we want to go. There are so many great takeaways."
 
Wofford will compete at the Southern Conference fall tournament next weekend (Oct. 24-26) at Chattanooga.
