With final exams for the fall semester wrapped, we have officially entered the holiday season. Last month ended with the football team winning four straight games, including a road win at The Citadel, and the volleyball team winning its third-straight Southern Conference Tournament Championship. The Terriers traveled to Lexington for the opening round of the NCAA Volleyball Tournament, where they competed against the #1-seeded University of Kentucky. Both basketball teams are playing their final non-conference games before beginning the Southern Conference schedule. All spring sports schedules have been released and are available at

FOOTBALL POSTSEASON HONORS
Congratulations to Maximus Pulley on being selected to five All-America Teams following the season. In addition to being a first-team selection by the AP, Stats Perform, Walter Camp, and AFCA, he was named to the FCS Football Central second team. He was also a finalist for the Buck Buchanan Award and was ninth in the voting. Pulley decided to return to Wofford for his fifth year to finish what he started, and the honors are well deserved.
Brandon Maina also returned for his fifth year and received FCS Football Central second-team All-America honors. Second-year freshman Darius Malcom, Jr., was named a Freshman All-America and finished 15
th in the voting for the Jerry Rice Award for the top freshman at the FCS level.
In addition, Jim Johnson '71, former Wofford College trustee, and honorable mention All-America football player, treated all 140 players and coaches to a steak dinner before the start of exam week for beating Furman for the third-straight season.
AXELSON TAKES PART IN NCAA LEADERSHIP FORUM
Wofford softball student-athlete Margaret Axelson was one of 245 participants in the 2025 NCAA Student-Athlete Leadership Forum in Dallas, Texas, in November. Organized and hosted by the NCAA leadership development staff, the Student-Athlete Leadership Forum annually provides participants with the opportunity to gain a deeper understanding of their core values, develop emotional intelligence, embrace vulnerability, grow their personal network and develop leadership skills.
"Overall, the NCAA SALF was one of those experiences that is hard to explain to other people because it was so immersive and changed my perspective of not only leadership but also life drastically in such a short period of time," said Axelson. "Through focused small-group sessions on all aspects relating to leadership, I was able to learn how to lead better as I discovered what I excel at and what I could add to my leadership to improve."
