LEXINGTON, Va. – The 2025 Southern Conference Indoor Track and Field Championships concluded on Saturday at VMI's Corps Physical Training Facility, with Wofford College winning three individual championships. The Wofford women were second overall with 119.5 points, while the men were sixth with 46 points.
Southern Conference titles were won by
Sherika Christie (long jump and triple jump) and
Olivia Bagg (pentathlon). Christie was named the Women's Most Outstanding Athlete for the second consecutive year. A Terrier has now received that honor four times in the last five years (Netanya Linares in 2021 and 2023).
The 119.5 points scored by the women were the third-most in school history and it is the fourth time in the last five years they have finished second in the SoCon. The men were sixth, and the 46 total points were the sixth-most in school history.
There were eleven All-Southern Conference honors earned by the Terriers:
Olivia Bagg (pentathlon),
Sherika Christie (long jump, high jump, triple jump, and 60m hurdles),
Ella Tennant (60 meters, 200 meters),
Nigel Ransby (60 meters),
Patrick Green II (triple jump),

Three school records were set during the championship. Terriers also earned a total of six All-Freshman Team honors during the weekend.
"That was a gutsy performance by our women today," said head coach
Johnny Bomar. "Heading into the 4x400 relay we had to beat Furman in order to secure second place overall, and they did. Everyone stepped up their performance.
Sherika Christie had another great meet for us and deserved to repeat as the Most Outstanding Athlete."
Sunday began with the completion of the heptathlon, with
Jackson Casey finishing eighth with a career-high 3,590 points.
In the field events on Saturday,
Dani Emmen was fourth in the women's weight throw at 15.43 meters to set a new school record.
