DAVIDSON, N.C. – The Wofford men's tennis team opened the fall season on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday at the Davidson Invitational. Teams competing included Davidson, Gardner-Webb, Longwood, Queens, UNC Asheville, UNCG, and Wofford.   
 
Daniel Clivio won three singles matches to claim Draw C and freshman Valdemar Dubin had three wins to claim the Draw D title. Hugo Rask won Draw G with three wins as well. Jack Burdell and Jacob Raider each had two singles wins. In doubles, the Terriers won seven of eight overall matches.
 
"We had a strong tournament," said head coach Rod Ray. "Daniel (Clivio) and Valemar (Dubin) led the charge, going undefeated this weekend. As a team, we competed very well, only losing one match in doubles. I'm proud of our team."
 
Wofford will compete at the ITA Regionals in Cary, N.C., from October 16-19.
