SPARTANBURG, S.C. – The Southern Conference announced its weekly softball awards on Monday afternoon, and Wofford's
Abby Greenwood was named the pitcher of the week. The awards are selected by the league office.

Chelsea Butler. "It is an honor for her to be rewarded for her efforts in the circle. This award is an awesome ending to a great week!"

This is the second career honor for
Abby Greenwood (4/4/25) and her first of the season.
Brianna Stanley was named position player of the week last week, marking two-straight weeks of selections for Wofford.

Greenwood, a junior pitcher out of King George, Virginia, went 2-0 over the weekend after throwing 11.0 innings. Greenwood tallied eight strikeouts and zero earned runs. In a win over UNC Wilmington, she pitched a full seven inning game and tossed seven strikeouts. Against UMBC, Greenwood pitched four innings with no runs scored and only two hits allowed.

Greenwood currently leads the Southern Conference with a 1.33 ERA on the season. She holds a 4-0 record on the year, ranking her 11
th in the nation and first in the conference.

The Terriers went a perfect 4-0 in the Wofford Invitational this past weekend, improving to an 8-1 record for the team's best start in program history. Wofford will play a midweek matchup at Presbyterian on Wednesday, February 18, before co-hosting the Sparkle City Invite with USC Upstate on February 20-22.
