SPARTANBURG, S.C. - College Sports Communicators (CSC) has announced the 2026 Academic All-District® Softball teams as selected by the organization to recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom. Wofford had four student-athletes selected among the honorees.
Margaret Axelson, a senior pitcher out of Atlanta, Georgia, picks up her third-straight CSC Academic All-District selection of her career. Axelson was named the 2026 SoCon Preseason Pitcher of the Year.
Abby Greenwood, a junior hurler out of King George, Virginia, earns her second consecutive CSC honor in 2026. This season, Greenwood led the team with a 3.10 ERA and a 14-7 record. She posted two shutouts, including a complete game with six strikeouts against Chattanooga in the SoCon Tournament.
Gracie Parker, a senior third baseman from Concord, North Carolina, closes her Wofford career with back-to-back seasons of CSC Academic All-District selections. Parker led the SoCon with five triples and hit her first career homer at North Carolina earlier this season. A sophomore from Monroe, Georgia,
Rivers Sampson picks up her first career CSC Academic All-District nod after starting all 54 games in the outfield. Sampson finished second on the team with 12 doubles and posted 30 RBI.
To be nominated, a student-athlete must be at least a sophomore academically and athletically and have at least a 3.50 cumulative grade point average. They must compete in 90% of the games played during the season or must start in at least 66% of the games played.
Student-athletes selected as CSC Academic All-America® finalists will advance to the national ballot to be voted on by CSC members. First-, second- and third-team Academic All-America® honorees will be announced June 16, 2026.
