Moeller grabbed her second goal of the game in the opening minute of the second quarter from a free position shot. The Owls responded with two goals within two minutes of each other to keep them within striking distance. 30 seconds after a media timeout,

Mia Leon brought the lead back to two goals with a pass from Brosseau. After another four minutes, Kennesaw State converted a free-position goal, tying it up one minute later. Neither team could find a goal to break the tie, 8-8.
The Owls nabbed their third unanswered goal to hold their first lead of the game two minutes into the final quarter. They pushed their lead to two before the Terriers found a response. That response came in the form of
Carlie Cutinella's first goal of the day. Shortly after, Cutinella added another goal to tie the game just before the media timeout. The Owls were able to pull away once again with three straight goals to ice the game, 13-10.
