ELON, N.C. – The Wofford College softball team scored six runs in the sixth inning to lead the team to a 10-1 win at Elon on Tuesday afternoon. The Terriers improve to 23-5 with a 2-1 mark in conference play.

Natalya Salo pitched her fifth complete game of the season, improving her record to 7-1 this season. Salo tossed 6.0 innings and only allowed one run on six hits while striking out four batters.
Desirae Devine led the team with a 2-of-3 appearance at the plate with two RBIs.
Lauren Archambault also recorded two RBIs.
Kate Platte,
Kalli Petty,
Gracie Parker,
Lucy Cameron,
Rivers Sampson, and
Brianna Stanley each tallied one RBI as well.
Gracie Parker and
Kaytlin Greenwood scored two runs apiece. Greenwood stole one base. Wofford out hit Elon 8-6. Elon had five errors compared to one from Wofford.

Both teams were scoreless after the first inning, but Wofford was able to add two runs in the top of the second.
Gracie Parker and
Kaytlin Greenwood reached base by way of two Elon errors, and
Desirae Devine was able to drive in Parker on the next at bat.
Lauren Archambault followed that up with a sacrifice fly to right field, putting Wofford up 2-0. Elon responded with one run in the bottom half of the inning. The Terriers added two more runs in the third inning, as a single from
Addison Lucier started the inning off.
Sydney Baker would pinch run for Lucier, eventually scoring off a
Kalli Petty RBI.
Gracie Parker would follow that up with sacrifice fly to score
Rivers Sampson, giving Wofford a 4-1 lead.

Both teams were quiet in the fourth and fifth innings, but Wofford scored six runs in the top of the sixth.
Kalli Petty,
Gracie Parker, and
Kaytlin Greenwood loaded the bases early on with singles.
Desirae Devine drove in Petty with a single through the right side, and
Lauren Archambault scored Parker off a single up the middle.
Kate Platte scored Greenwood, and
Lucy Cameron followed that up with an RBI to score
Desirae Devine.
Rivers Sampson grounded out after that but was able to send
Lauren Archambault home.
Brianna Stanley closed out the scoring with a sacrifice fly to score
Kate Platte. The Terriers would earn a 10-1 win in six innings.

Wofford will be back in action Wednesday, March 25, at 5:00 p.m. to take on the North Carolina Tar Heels. The Terriers faced off against fellow ACC foe Clemson earlier this year.
