SOCON TOURNAMENT
Wofford will enter the 2025-26 Southern Conference Tournament as the No. 3 seed. The Terriers finished in a three-way tie for first place during the regular season, tying with Chattanooga and ETSU. Chattanooga will be the No. 1 seed while ETSU will serve as the No. 2 seed. The team claimed a share of just its second-ever conference championship. The Terriers previously won a regular season championship during the 2022-23 season. This will be the third-straight year Wofford has faced off with Samford in the postseason. The Terriers have won the last two matchups and are 8-2 in the last 10 meetings with Samford.

POSTSEASON HONORS
The Southern Conference released its postseason honors on Tuesday afternoon, and Wofford had two players selected to a team. Gabby Mundy was tabbed as SoCon Freshman of the Year while earning a spot on the All-SoCon First Team and All-Freshman Team. Queen Ikhiuwu also earned All-SoCon First Team honors.

Mundy is the fourth SoCon Freshman of the Year in program history. Evangelia Paulk was the last Terrier to earn the award (2023-24). Mundy posted a team-high 15.4 points per game, including a conference-best 18.9 points per game during SoCon action. With 431 points this season, Mundy has totaled the most points by a freshman in a single season in program history.

Queen Ikhiuwu picks up the honor after leading the team with 198 rebounds. Ikhiuwu finished second on the team in scoring with 13.1 points per game on a team-high 47.6 percent shooting. Ikhiuwu posted four consecutive double doubles this season (1/15-1/24), becoming the first player in program history to do so.

THE GENERAL
Gabby "The General" Mundy has been nothing short of spectacular during her freshman campaign. Mundy was just named the fourth-ever SoCon Freshman of the Year in program history, along with a spot on the All-SoCon First Team and All-Freshman Team. Mundy scored a career-high 32 points against Chattanooga earlier this season, including a perfect 10-of-10 performance from the free throw line.

For the year, Mundy is averaging 15.4 points per game, which is second in the conference. She is the seventh highest scoring freshman in the nation. She is fourth in the conference in assists per game with 3.7, ranking first amongst freshmen. She is averaging 18.9 points per game during conference play to lead the league.

She has scored in double-digits 16 straight games. That is a program record, as no freshman in program history has reached double figures in 10 straight games. Mundy is currently tied for the second longest streak in program history. She's one of four players in program history to total 350+ points and 90+ assists in a season (Rachael Rose, Da'ja Green, Liz Miller). Mundy has hit game winners two times this season - at ETSU and against UNCG.

3&D
The Terriers not only score from the three, but they also defend the line as well. Wofford scored 32.3% of its points last year by way of the three-pointer, ranking third in the conference. While the team is heavily reliant on the three ball, Wofford also defends it at a high clip. The Terriers held opponents to 27.2% shooting from three a year ago - good for 17th in the nation and first in the SoCon. The Terriers are once again defending the three at a high level. Opponents are shooting just 26.9% from deep to pace the conference and rank 19th in the nation.

X-FACTOR
Throughout Maddie Heiss' career, the team is 36-14 when she scores 10+ points. When she is under that mark, Wofford is just 13-22. The team improves to 16-4 when she scores over 15 points.

The quarterfinal matchup is set for Thursday, March 5, at 3:30 p.m. inside Harrah's Cherokee Center in Asheville, North Carolina. With a win, Wofford would face off with either No. 2 ETSU or No. 7 UNCG on Friday, March 6, at 1:15 p.m. The Southern Conference Championship is set for Sunday, March 8, at 12:00 p.m.
