SPARTANBURG, S.C. – The Southern Conference announced its weekly softball awards on Monday afternoon, and Wofford's Brianna Stanley was named the SoCon Player of the Week. The awards are selected by the league office.
 
"Bri has continued to show up for us in the biggest ways with so much consistency," said head coach Chelsea Butler. "She works so hard at her craft, and we are so excited to see her be recognized by the SoCon for her efforts at the plate last week!"
 
This is the third honor of the season for Stanley and the fourth for the team. Stanley is the first player in program history to win the award three times in the same season.
 
Stanley, a sophomore infielder from Boiling Springs, South Carolina, batted .714 across three games against UNCG this past weekend. She tallied a double, a home run, four RBI, and was intentionally walked twice. Stanley went 2-of-3 with a homer, a double, and two RBI in game two on Saturday afternoon.
 
Stanley recorded her 10^th home run of the year this past weekend, which is the most in a season in program history. She has totaled 17 in her career – the most by a player in program history as well. Stanley is second in the conference with 48 RBI on the year.
 
The Terriers will travel to USC Upstate on Wednesday, April 15, for a 6:00 p.m. first pitch. The game can be streamed live on ESPN+/Nexstar CW62. Wofford will remain on the road with a weekend series at ETSU on April 18-19.
