SPARTANBURG, S.C. -- The Wofford College women's soccer team fell to ETSU, 2-0, at Snyder Field on Sunday afternoon. The Terriers played a woman down for a majority of the match after a red card early in the first half.
First Half
The match began with both teams battling for control of possession. ETSU had a shot from Jada Cooper in the fourth minute that was followed by a Wofford corner kick at 5:58.
Satya Tarafdar received a red card at 6:50 for denying a scoring opportunity, forcing Wofford to play the rest of the match with a woman down.
After a few minutes of play, ETSU's Kassie Estep received a yellow card at 11:57.
The Buccaneers took off with possession, holding Wofford to just two shots in the first half. ETSU found their first goal from Ella Parker in the 37th minute with a feed from Lauren Leslie during a corner kick.
ETSU continues to control the possession, ending the half with a 1-0 advantage.
Second Half
The second half began with a yellow card on Delaney Minor in the second minute of play.
ETSU continued to find opportunities, outshooting Wofford 7-0 in the second half. The Buccaneers capitalized on another corner kick, with a header from Reagan Fitzgerald at 77:59.
Wofford was unable to find scoring opportunities, ending the match with a 2-0 loss.
Goalkeeper Elizabeth Navola recorded a season-high nine saves in the match.
