CHARLESTON, S.C. – The Wofford College rifle team took part in a contest against The Citadel women and University of Alabama Birmingham on Friday, February 6. The Terriers fired two personal bests and a school-record score.
Jordan Rawl led the Terriers with a personal best 562. This score was also the highest ever for the program. Stephen Bryant fired a 546, followed by Beth Mellette with 517 and Whitney McJunkin with 514. Cameron Ledbetter fired a 516, which was a personal best.
Overall, The Citadel led scoring with 2189, followed by UAB with 2171 and Wofford with 2139.
Wofford will host the SEARC 5 on February 14. This upcoming match will also serve as an NRA Collegiate Sectional and NCAA qualifier. The Terriers will return to Charleston for the SEARC Championships in March.
