SPARTANBURG, S.C. – In a hard-fought contest at Benjamin Johnson Arena, Wofford scored the final six points to defeat Davidson 68-62 on Saturday night. With the game tied at sixty with 1:36 left, the Terriers outscored the Wildcats to win their fifth-straight game.

“This was a good win against a quality opponent and a well-coached opponent,” said head coach Mike Young. “We knew that we were going to have to play very well and while I do not think we were great, we took another step forward in this team’s development. It was a game that you had to make plays down the stretch against if you expect to win the game and we were able to that.”
Davidson opened the game with a three from JP Kulhman and built a 10-3 lead after a three by Jake Cohen at the 15:25 mark. Wofford responded and pulled within one point at 10-9 after a lay-up by Jason Dawson. The Wildcats pushed the lead back to 16-10, but two free throws by Cameron Rundles at 8:20 tied the game at 16. Just two minutes later, the Wildcats tied the game at 46 and took the lead at 48-47 with 8:20 on the clock.
