ANNISTON, Ala. – The Wofford College rifle team completed the season with a fifth place finish at the Southeastern Air Rifle Conference (SEARC) Championships in Anniston, Alabama on Saturday. Sophomore Stephen Bryant led the Terriers with a score of 567 to finish tenth overall.
Following Bryant in the individual results was senior Jordan Rawl at 557 in her final match of a stellar career with the Terriers. Freshman Cody Chesneau fired a 543, freshman Chris Bollinger posted a 527 and sophomore Christine Shelton had a 512, all of which were career-best scores. Sophomore Cameron Ledbetter had a 502, sophomore C.J. Tria a 485 and sophomore Jenna White rounded out the shooters with a 471.
North Carolina State finished first with a score of 2,299. The Citadel was second at 2275, followed by North Georgia College rounding out the top three teams with a 2,235. Clemson scored a total of 2,214 for fourth, while Wofford scored 2,194 for fifth place. Georgia Military College came in sixth place with 2,098, Mercer was seventh with 2,071 and Birmingham Southern College had a 2,056.
NC State and The Citadel combined for seven of the top eight shooters. NC State's Katie Siegert led all shooters firing a score of 581.
