SPARTANBURG, S.C. – Wofford junior Noah Dahlman was named an Honorable Mention All-American by the Associated Press on Monday. This marks the first time a Terrier basketball student-athlete has earned All-America honors.
Dahlman, from Braham, Minnesota, was a key in leading Wofford to the program’s first Southern Conference Championship and trip to the NCAA Tournament. He was named the Southern Conference Player of the Year and the Most Outstanding Player in the 2010 SoCon Tournament. He finished the season with 16.6 points per game and 6.3 rebounds per game. He was fourth in the SoCon in scoring and seventh in rebounding. The team was 26-9 overall, the most wins in school history, and had a 13-game winning streak that was the second-longest in the nation heading into the NCAA Tournament.
This marks the third straight season a student-athlete from the Southern Conference has been honored, following Stephen Curry on the second team in 2008 and first team in 2009. Dahlman is the only SoCon player honored this season and is joined as a honorable mention by South Carolina’s Devon Downey, Wake Forest’s Al-Farouq Aminu and Purdue’s Robbie Hummel among others.
