Terrier Cross Country Traveled North for Penn State National Meet

University Park, Pa. – The Wofford men’s and women’s cross country team’s competed at the Penn State National Meet on Friday morning at the Penn State Golf Course. In rainy and muddy conditions, the men completed the 5.2 mile course in 21st place and the women finished 28th overall on the 6,000m course.
 
For the men, Trey Parker led the way with a time of 29:16 to finish in 106th place. Matt Menard followed with a time of 30:34 for 122nd, and Russell Baker finished in 128th with a time of 31:11. Justin Whitaker ran a time of 31:19 for 129th, and Hunter McGhee took 130th with a time of 31:35.
 
On the women’s side, Alissa Williams took 108th with a time of 23:57, and Carly Egan followed in 145th with a time of 24:51. Sam Hughes finished in 151 with a time of 25:01, while Alyssa Burket crossed the finish line in 157th with a time of 25:11. Katie Kessler rounded out the Terriers scorers with a time of 25:45 in 176th.
 
The Terriers will have another squad compete in Saturday’s Upstate Invite in Spartanburg at Milliken Park.
